چکیده

Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study is to report the survival and treatment results patients with cervical esophageal cancer treated definitive chemoradiotherapy, whose incidence very low in population there not enough information about toxicity literature.
Material Method: Between 2013 2022, 10 (six males four females) chemoradiotherapy were included. Among these patients, seven had stage II disease, one III, 2 IVA. All received radiotherapy at a median dose 50.4 Gy concurrent weekly chemotherapy.
Results: follow-up period was 18 months. two-year 5-year overall rates 42.2% 21.1%, respectively. disease-free 45.7% 22.9%, Disease progression noted 3 out (30%). Three still alive during analyze. Percutaneous enteral gastrostomy performed patients. These requirement occured 1 due local progression, remaining side effect RT. Conclusions: Overall low, as similar findings appear It remarkable that need for percutaneous observed IMRT group. complete remission 2.

3D-Conformal Radiation Therapy and Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy Techniques for Laryngeal Cancer Taking Parotid Glands as Organ at Risk

Background: Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) techniques are used for the treatment of patients with laryngeal cancer. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of these 2 treatment techniques on the planning target volume (PTV) (laryngeal cancer), dose homogeneity, dose of organs at...

Comparison of Radiobiological Models for Radiation Therapy Plans of Prostate Cancer: Three-dimensional Conformal versus Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy

Purpose: In the current study, using different radiobiological models, tumor control probability (TCP) and normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) of radiotherapy plans were calculated for three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) of prostate cancer. Methods and Materials: 10 prostate plans were randomly selected among patients ...

A comparison of outcomes using intensity-modulated radiation therapy and 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy in treatment of oropharyngeal cancer.

IMPORTANCE Approximately 50% of head and neck cancer survivors experience dysphagia and related morbidity. Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is increasingly used to treat oropharyngeal cancers with excellent oncologic outcomes, but few studies have compared it with conventional 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) to determine whether it can decrease treatment-related t...

3D Radiation Therapy or Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy for Recurrent and Metastatic Cervical Cancer: The Shanghai Cancer Hospital Experience

We evaluate the outcomes of irradiation by using three-dimensional radiation therapy (3D-RT) or intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for recurrent and metastatic cervical cancer. Between 2007 and 2010, 50 patients with recurrent and metastatic cervical cancer were treated using 3D-RT or IMRT. The median time interval between the initial treatment and the start of irradiation was 12 (6-51) mo...

Improved survival with higher radiation dose for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients treated with definitive chemoradiotherapy

Purpose The optimal radiation dose for patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) has long been debated. We undertook the retrospective study to evaluate the survival impact of high dose vs standard dose in patients with stage II-III esophageal cancer treated with definitive chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Results A total of 137 patients were included in our study, 63 patients classifie...
